Welcome, and thank you for visiting us at the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. Columbus Recreation and Parks mission is "To enrich the Lives of our Citizens". We believe our 2008 summer programs live up to that mission. Whether you are five years old or 75 years young, we have something for you.
Our programs include over 75 camps, playgrounds, aquatics, and learn-to-swim programs, boating, arts, outdoor education, golf, concerts, sports, and therapeutic recreation opportunities. You can rent shelters, attend a concert or one of the many special events that occur in our parks. The way we utilize our leisure time directly affects our quality of life. Whether our activities are physical, mental or just provide a respite from the daily routine, they improve our sense of well-being. Thus, excellent parks and recreation programs enhance the overall value of life in a city. We, at the Recreation and Parks Department, invite you to utilize our programs and parks to improve your leisure time. We believe our programs help to make Columbus a great place to Live, Work, Raise a Family, and PLAY! You can find the closest recreation center or park to your home by using the "FIND A PARK NEAR YOU" on our home page.
