The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department operates 31 recreation centers located throughout the city of Columbus. Each center offers a wide variety of programs. Classes are offered for ages from 2 through adult, including seniors. Athletic leagues are available as well as many special events. Many classes are free or charge nominal fees. Scholarships are also offered through P.L.A.Y. Each centers offerings are different. The following pages give information about contacting your local recreation center. You do not need to be a resident of Columbus to register or participate but CRPD leisure card will be required.

Pedal Instead
Pedal Instead is a free valet bicycle parking service available at city festivals and special events.
If you are 6 years or older you need a Leisure Card, a photo ID, to gain admission to our swimming pools and recreation centers and for participation in our programs.
Get your Leisure Card at any recreation center or The Columbus Aquatics Center. Applications are processed from 4 - 7:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday.
There is a cost of $5.00 for each card. The card is good for 5 years.

Identification is required to receive a Leisure Card. The following forms of ID will be accepted:
Ages 6 -17
Driver's License State I.D. School Photo ID Social Security Card Birth Certificate
Ages 18 or Older
