Facility Features: Indian Village is a facility offering outdoor and environmental education, Native American studies, arts, and other programs managed by Columbus Recreation and Parks Outdoor Education Section. This wildlife filled wooded plot, on the West Bank of the Scioto River, is where we base our programs. Only minutes from urban life, Indian Village hosts a trail system, fossil filled creek beds, caves, educational lodge, tipis, creeks, and river access. Entering the gates of the park is like stepping into a different land. Buildings and other monuments of mankind, although still visible, are thrust into the background by mature trees and the majestic wildlife that gather on the river's edge. We offer year round programs for a diverse population of Columbus and its vicinity. Serving participants from three years of age up to senior citizens and inclusive of physical, mental, and social economic challenges. Our goal is to educate and entertain participants with the joy of the out of doors, nature, wildlife, adventure, arts, and Native American culture.
Join the staff of Indian Village, Scioto Boat Club and Watershed management in cleaning up the Scioto River.
