Please be aware of the following procedures:

• Everyone over the age of 6 must have a CRPD Leisure Card
• During all open swims, a parent or adult at least 18 years of age and in a swimsuit, must accompany all children under 8 years of age
• All infants must wear a swim diaper or rubber pants

Open Swim Schedule: Everyone over the age of 6 is required to have a Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Leisure Card.

OPEN SWIM SCHEDULE - Through February 19, 2010

TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY - 1:00 PM to 3:00 pm

FRIDAY EVENING 7:00 PM TO 9:30 PM

ADULT ONLY OPEN SWIM FRIDAY 10:00 AM TO 12:00 PM

SATURDAY - 2:00 PM TO 5:00 PM

Are you interested in working for the Columbus Recreation and Parks, we have several opportunities during our indoor season.   

We will be offering Lifeguard classes through out the year, please check back for future classes. You must be able to perform the minimum requirements as listed below to continue in the class.

Minimum requirements:  

• Minimum age of 15(proof of age must be brought to the first class)
• Swim 300 yards continuously, using the front crawl(100 yards), breast stroke(100 yard) and combination front crawl / breast stroke (100 yards) 
• Swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet and retrieve 10-pound object and return to the starting point. (Timed)
